Polimoda, Missoni launch knitwear design master`s course

Italian fashion school Polimoda recently announced launching its new master’s degree programme in knitwear design in collaboration with luxury house Missoni. The nine-month course, starting January next, will offer students all skills needed to combine creativity and research and Missoni will support the students through special meetings in its factory. “Designing fabrics for clothing is something completely different from making a dress or garment that comes directly from a knitting machine,” explains Angela Missoni in a video launched on Instagram, YouTube and Facebook.Italian fashion school Polimoda recently announced launching its new master`s degree programme in knitwear design in collaboration with luxury house Missoni. The cost of the course is €28,000. Missoni will also host the students at the headquarters of the company based in Sumirago for a period to have industry experience. The note states that this is a specialist course of study that can train students for a career as a fashion designer, knitwear designer or product developer within a luxury brand. (DS)
